What you will do
Efficiently write fair and accurate estimates based on photos of vehicle damage that comply fully with insurance carrier guidelines
(using photographs of vehicle damage. Efficiently compile fair and accurate blue print’s of repair using the correct methodology from the manufacturer, that comply with the Insurer’s regulatory guidelines and codes of conduct)
Through understanding of vehicle repair, parts costs, total loss classification and fraud detection (Thorough understanding of repair methodology for all types of material used in vehicle construction, paint & lacquer application, parts cost, total loss classification and fraud detection).
Staying current on new repair techniques and procedures (You will keep abreast of new repair techniques , and of new technologies that could affect costings, such as ADAS Equipment, Radar and Lidar, blind spot awareness, lane departure,Ultra sonic sensors, Lazer headlamps).
Ensuring that your expertise and insights are shared effectively across the company and closely integrated with all of Tractable’s product development.
What you will have
Extensive knowledge of vehicle (part)(construction) and (associated) repair techniques.
Thorough understanding of automobile terminology and vehicle construction.
Working experience of estimating platforms: Audatex, GlassMatix,(motex,and Inter-est)
2-5 years (5 years minimum experience of vehicle estimating ,or two years if having been a hands on panel beater) of motor estimating experience, in either motor engineers or bodyshop estimating departments
Relevant engineering qualifications (Must be Qualified through the I.A.E.A or an associate working towards qualification or a current holder of A.T.A.V.D.A Accreditation) You may want to alter this dependent on interest and uptake. (or having been time served in the body repair industry)
